Start the walk on Hight Street at the junction of Rose Lane.
The walk will take you along the river with beautiful views of the colleges across the meadows.
Walk down Rose Lane until you reach the Merton College T. S. Eliot Theatre.
You may see the "The Fat Tabby " catering van, probably a reference to T.S. Eliot's book of poems, dedicated to the cats that visited his garden while he was working in his office. The book is, of course "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats" which in turn inspired Andrew Lloyd Webber to write his musical "Cats".
Continue along Rose Lane, past the theatre where the footpath forks. Take the left fork along Christ Church Meadow Walk until you get to the River Cherwell.
You may be fortunate to see inexperienced boaters punting along the river.
Follow the path along the river and look to your right across "Merton Field" to Merton College and Christ Church College.
Follow the path untill you come to the Jubilee Bridge.

Do not cross the bridge (or , at least, if you do, come back onto the right bank and continue along the footpath.
After a few metres, you have a choice between the meadow walk or remaining by the river. it is November so you are recommended to stick to the river. Both paths join up along the river.
You now come to the confluence of the River Cherwell and the River Thames. Continue alongside the river Thames.
After about 500 metres you will see a wide drive on the right leading back to the city centre. Take this right turn, onto Poplar Walk, leaving the riverside.

Note: you will be coming towards this viewpoint with the building on the left.
At the end of the drive, you will come to Christ Church College.
At the "T" junction and in front of the "Meadow Building", turn left along Broad Walk until you come to the gate onto St Aldates.
Cross the road and turn right along St Aldates to get the view of the "Tom Tower" (by Christopher Wren) of Christ Church College

Walk along St Aldates where you will find refreshment if required.
stay on the left side of the road walking towards the city centre. On you right, you will see the Museum of Oxford.
Continue along St Adates until you reach the crossroad with High Street, Cornmarket Street and Queen's Street. This junction is marked with a clock tower, The Carfax Tower which stands on the corner of Queen's Street and Cornmarket Street.
You now join the other 2 walks and you will be turning left into Queen's Street.
