A walk around the City
Wells really is a tiny city and to see all of the main sites, it would be a shorter walk than "Walk 1" in Oxford last year.
Here I say something about the 2 main buildings in Wells and then point you to other historic sites. I would point out though, that if you see nothing else, you should visit the Vicar's Close which is purported to be the oldest Medieval street in Europe.
This video starts at St Cuthbert's Church and over Wells to the Cathedral and Bishops Palace.
Behind the Cathedral you can see the Mendip Hills and as the camera turns you can see the Somerset Levels and Glastonbury Tor in the distance. The video finishes back at St Cuthbert's.

It is so close to the hotel, that it would probably only take a few minutes by car.
Come out of the hotel and turn left along the A371, Bishop's Park Way until you come to roundabout.
Turn right along Priory Road and at the junction, continue along Priory Road.
At the junction turn right along High Street and into the Market Square.
Straight ahead, you will see an ancient gateway to the Bishop's Palace where we will meet at 10.45 on Friday morning.
